Dave Garratt
Dave Garratt is Director of Business Development for Premium Credit.
Dave is responsible for both new and existing relationships with insurers for our premium finance and collection services. 2008 saw an extremely healthy 21% increase in advances with 26% being achieved up to Q3 of 2009. There have also been 7 new insurer schemes bought on board while Dave has been in situ, with more in the pipeline. The development of new products and services also falls within his remit and he has successfully launched several new premium collection services, including collection at point of sale by credit card.
Dave has a background of more than 10 years spent in a variety of underwriting and business development positions for the big players in the UK general insurance market. These have included playing a pivotal role in the building and launch of UK service companies for Hiscox and SVB syndicates, which involved the creation of new products, broker distribution channels and e-platforms from scratch.
He has also worked with both Xcharging and Higham Dunnett Shaw on delivering a range of back office outsourcing services for general insurance and life & pensions UK markets. At the former company, this included the successful development of a variety of end-to-end outsourced solutions for both London market new start-ups and global insurers. In Dave’s time at Higham Dunnett Shaw saw him providing the services that allowed high profile organisations to manage pensions and endowment mis-selling reviews in accordance with stringent FSA requirements.
All in all, Dave has over 23 years’ experience in the financial services insurance sector.
