Clyde Whittaker

Clyde Whittaker is IT Director for Premium Credit.

Clyde holds overall responsibility for our IT technology.  He delivered the company’s first premium finance systems for commercial and personal lines business and successfully established our independent technology infrastructure.  He also assembled the team which launched our award-winning, real-time internet trading platform for commercial finance and more recently our ‘PLaSMA’ channel for personal lines business.  In addition, Clyde guided the re-alignment of our technology following Premium Credit’s acquisition by first MBNA and subsequently Bank of America.

He has a wealth of experience in orchestrating system and process change, both with Premium Credit, and also with HSBC Insurance earlier in his career.  Before this, Clyde was responsible for customer relations at Casio Electronics Company, where he led the implementation of new customer service and stock control systems. 

An Oxford graduate, Clyde has subsequently spent more than 20 years in finance and distribution environments and 17 years in the field of premium finance.
